This was a busy weekend for many of us, especially here in Wausau where we had the Balloon Rally and Glow, Chalkfest, and Junior World Slalom Championships. Naturally, we're wanting some time to recover from those events but with Monday morning here, there's no time for dragging on. It's time for your Monday morning motivation.
Kick start your Monday off with a work out at the park, perhaps even brave the park bench. YMCA Boot Camp Instructor Vickie Christianson says the going out for an early run on a summer morning is the perfect was to kick start that energy level; she recommends getting involved in local races to serve as an extra push to stay fit and set fitness goals.
If you have an extra pack on hand, you can also bring along your free weights to balance the cardio with strength training. By using your surroundings, like a park bench for instance, you can do simple exercises like tricep dips to help sculpt your muscles in a nontraditional way.
