MILWAUKEE (AP) -- National experts in traumatic brain injury research will be meeting in Milwaukee this week.
The conference will address the neurophysiology of brain injury, advances in imaging research and new approaches to treatment and rehabilitation. It will feature several internationally-recognized brain injury researchers and many Medical College scientists who study brain trauma.
According to the school, an estimated 3.8 million people sustain a traumatic brain injury each year. It's also a contributing factor to a third of all injury-related deaths in the United States.
The conference will be held Thursday and Friday at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
