BELOIT, Wis. (AP) -- Beloit College is showing an exhibition featuring American artist George Bellows.

Bellows, who died in 1925, was a painter of sports and city life.

The works in the exhibition are lithographs from the collection of Victor Ferrall, Jr., president emeritus of Beloit College and his wife, Linda Smith.

The exhibit opens at the Wright Museum of Art on campus on September 13. The show runs through Nov. 11.

An opening reception Sept. 19 will feature a lecture by New York art dealer and Bellows expert Franklin Riehlman.

An exhibition featuring George Bellows' work opened in June at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
