7th Graders Roll Out Red Carpet for Grammy Performance

Even though the Grammy's have come and gone, that doesn't mean the stars are done rolling out the red carpet. One 7th grade choir at DC Everest Middle School is doing just that tonight for their Grammy themed concert.

We dropped by the middle school last week to get a preview of the 6th graders' Muppet/ Sesame Street show, but returned today to see what the older starlets have been working on. Let's just say it was raining Drops of Jupiter. Choir Director Julie Burgess says that single is a cast favorite along with another hit called We Are The World.

Burgess's 7th grade class has been preparing for months to belt out some of their favorite radio hits in front of the community.

The Grammy's show debuts May 21, in DC Everest's Village Theater at 7 p.m. with the 6th graders' show taking place tomorrow at the same location and time. For more information please contact the middle school at 715-241-9700.
