Several people in Central Wisconsin will have brighter homes this evening after hitting the polls.
According to the Stevens Point Journal, the Commission for a Greener Tomorrow, Sustainable Stockton and Eco-Municipality of Stevens Point will once again be handing out free compact fluorescent bulbs at some polling locations Tuesday.
The “CFL and Vote” event will distribute 5,000 free bulbs.
Where to get a free CFL bulb:
Town of Stockton from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Town of Lanark from 4p.m. to 8 p.m
Stevens Point - four polling locations
Hi-Rise Manor, 7 a.m. to noon
Portage County Health Care Center, 7 a.m. to noon
Dreyfus University Center, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
National Guard Armory, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Whiting and Park Ridge won't have bulbs but will have information on compact fluorescent light bulbs.
