MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker does not agree with nine Republican state lawmakers who say they would support arresting federal officials who try to implement President Barack Obama's health care law in Wisconsin.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel first reported Tuesday that the lawmakers told the Campaign for Liberty they would back legislation to declare the Affordable Care Act illegal and allow police to arrest federal officials who take steps to implement it in Wisconsin.

Democratic state Rep. Jon Richards on Thursday called on Walker to renounce their position.

Walker's spokesman Cullen Werwie says in a statement that "Governor Walker doesn't support arresting people for implementing federal law."

Walker plans to announce on Friday whether he will implement a state-run health insurance exchange under the law or have the federal government run it.
