MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Trek Bicycle Corp. is known for its bikes made for everyone from kids on training wheels to competitors at the Tour de France. But now the company is in the middle of another kind of race -- the one for governor.

Democratic candidate Mary Burke proudly touts the jobs and economic development generated by the Wisconsin-based company started by her father. But Republican Gov. Scott Walker says the company that made Burke a millionaire took state taxpayers' money and then outsourced jobs to China.

Former Procter & Gamble brand manager and Marquette University professor Felicia Miller says Walker is taking a "very calculated risk" by going after Trek and the move could backfire.

Walker says he's just giving voters the facts. Burke says he is attacking a "great Wisconsin company."
