Wisconsin state senator Kathleen Vinehout (D-District 31) says she will not run for governor this year.
Citing injuries she received in a car crash last month, Vinehout says, "the time required to recover and rehabilitate make it impossible for me to run the intense, grass roots campaign that I want to run and would be necessary to win."
In a statement, Vinehout thanked her supporters and offered best wishes the best to current democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke.
