Sheriff's Office Investigating Racine Recall Vote

RACINE, Wis. (AP) -- The Racine County sheriff's office is investigating possible voting irregularities in the June 5 recall election.
The sheriff's office says someone claims to have found "suspicious voter registration documents" in a trash bin in Racine.
The citizen claims to have found the materials at the Cesar Chavez Center in Racine, and then contacted the district attorney's office. Prosecutors then asked the sheriff's office to investigate.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports prosecutors asked the sheriff's office to look into more allegations about "voting irregularities" at the Dr. John Bryant Center, also in Racine.
Besides the recall of Gov. Scott Walker, Racine ballots also included a recall race for Senate District 21. A vote canvass in Racine County found Democrat John Lehman had 834 votes more than incumbent Republican Van Wanggaard.
