Senator Tammy Baldwin says she's Proud of Pres. for Taking on Gun Violence

Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin says she's proud of President Barack Obama for taking on the issue of gun violence.

She also says while she supports the second amendment, it's still consistant to be in favor of some gun safety measures.

This week, the president signed 23 measures into law through executive order. He's also calling on congress to bring back an assault weapons ban and a background check on everyone who buys a gun.

Baldwin was in Wausau Thursday to tour the North Central Technical College campus. She says tech. colleges are vital to the economy. They train workers to fill manufacturing jobs.

Baldwin also says she's looking forward to representing the entire state, instead of just Southeastern Wisconsin where she used to be a US Representative.
