Senator Herb Kohl Gives Advice To Baldwin and Thompson

Senator Herb Kohl has less than three months left as a U.S. Senator. A job he has held for 24 years. Now he's giving advice to the candidates looking to fill his seat.

Despite being an enthusiastic supporter of Democratic Candidate Tammy Baldwin, Senator Kohl thinks the race with Tommy Thompson will be a close one.

When asked if he had advice for the candidates, he said the most important thing is for them to stay positive. Kohl added, "I think the voters will reward somebody who runs a positive campaign."

Kohl also dished out advice for after the elections are over. Telling NewsChannel 7 that no matter who wins, they have to learn how to get along and get things done.

Senator Kohl was in Mosinee on Thursday campaigning for Pat Kreitlow. Kreitlow is running for the 7th District Congressional Seat currently held by Congressman Sean Duffy.
