Business owner Paul DeMain announced Sunday he will run for Wisconsin's 29th State Senate District seat.
“Today, I am excited to announce my candidacy for Wisconsin’s 29th State Senate District,” he said. “As a business owner and outdoorsman, I understand the importance of balancing the needs of Wisconsin’s economy and the needs of our natural resources. I am excited to take my experience creating jobs, investing in our local community, and creating opportunity to Madison by embracing our growing diversity so we can get to work for Wisconsin. We need to not only create self-sustaining revenues for our communities through business opportunities of the future, but do it in a way that reaches out and provides an equal opportunity to those least fortunate and represented, lifting up all of our community.”
DeMain is currently the CEO of Indian Country Communications, a communications, publishing and marketing business.
DeMain grew up in Wausau and graduated from Wausau High School. He currently lives near Hayward, WI where his four children and 12 grandchildren live.
