Local Student Gets Opportunity to Serve as a Senate Page

For more than one hundred years, Senate pages have served the United States Congress. Calvin Cottrell, a junior at D.C. Everest, recently had the opportunity to fill that role in Washington, D.C.

He stopped by Sunrise 7 Friday morning to talk live about his experience. You can learn more by watching the video link above.

Calvin met current Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Tammy Baldwin, and current Secretary of State John Kerry. He even attended President Barack Obama's inauguration last month.
