With only months away from the November elections, Tampa is gearing up for a very large crowd of Republican staffers. The Republican National Convention will be held at the Tampa Bay Times Forum from August 27-30.
More than 4000 delegates will be there to showcase their Republican nominees for President and Vice President. The District Director for Sean Duffy, Dave Anderson, will be headed to the convention as part of the rules committee.
They have an impact on selecting the next Presidential hopeful in four more years along with setting the rules for the convention.
Anderson says he’s excited about the opportunity and what it might mean for Wisconsin.
Anderson explains, “Wisconsin is really in the political limelight nationally and I think a lot of people will be paying attention to the role Wisconsin plays at this convention and the role in the November election.”
The convention will also include nearly 15,000 credentialed media. This is an international press corps that is second only in size to this summer’s London Olympic Games.
