ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, who heads the Democratic Governors Association, will make a one-day campaign trip to Wisconsin to help the Democratic nominee in a recall election against the incumbent Republican governor.

Colm O'Comartun, the executive director for the DGA, announced the trip on Wednesday.

O'Malley will be in Wisconsin on Tuesday to help Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett in his bid to defeat Gov. Scott Walker.

The recall election is set for June 5.

O'Comartun says O'Malley will follow up the trip to Wisconsin with a three-state swing through New England.
