EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton is rallying Democrats and criticizing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney at a Wisconsin stop.
Clinton spoke to an overflow crowd Wednesday night in downtown Eau Claire. He says if Romney wins, he'll take credit for an economic recovery that's underway thanks to President Obama.
Clinton lashed Romney and Republicans over climate change in the wake of superstorm Sandy. He says the U.S. is "the only country in the civilized world where one of the major political parties denies that climate change exists."
Wisconsin is getting major attention from both campaigns. Clinton is in Waukesha on Thursday, and Obama is stopping briefly in Green Bay. Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan was in the state Wednesday, and both Romney and Vice President Joe Biden will be Friday.
