Republican Congressman Sean Duffy will face off against Democratic challenger Kelly Westlund in the November election for the 7th Congressional district.
Both Duffy and Westlund held campaign viewing parties in Wausau Tuesday night.
As Kelly Westlund shook hands with supporters at the Wausau Labor Temple, she knows there is a challenging fight ahead to unseat incumbent Republican Sean Duffy.
"I think people are ready to do something different. He has had his trial run. We know what 4 years of Sean Duffy looks like. Its time to try something else." Westlund says.
Across town at Congressman Sean Duffy's campaign headquarters, supporters showed up to show their support for the two term Republican.
While he is confident about the election, he wants to see strong numbers in November.
"I don't take anything for granted. I work hard every day, making sure I'm listening to people. Every vote I get I'm thankful for it." Congressman Duffy says.
For now, both campaigns say they are looking forward to seeing what November has in store.
