With 65 percent of precincts reporting, the Associated Press has declared incumbent Republican candidate Sean Duffy the winner of 7th Congressional District.

As of 10:30 pm Tuesday Duffy held 56 percent of the vote to Pat Kreitlow's 43 percent.

During his election night party, Rep. Duffy thanked his family and supporters, and promised bipartisanship.

"I think the way you bridge those gaps is you talk to each other, you listen to each other and you know what I'm going to do that with the President and with the Senate, listen we need to work on some more bipartisanship," Duffy said.

He also said job creation is his number one priority, and he'll work to reduce regulations on small businesses.

During the campaign, which Duffy called spirited, he raised $2.4 million compared to Kreitlow's $1.2 million.

Duffy, a former district attorney who appeared on MTV's "The Real World" in the 1990s, sits on the House Financial Services Committee.
