Rep. Paul Ryan Declines to Address VP Speculation

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (AP) -- U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan of Janesville doesn't want to talk about whether he might be tapped to be Republican Mitt Romney's running mate.
Ryan was asked Tuesday what it's like to be vetted for vice president. He replied, "Next question."
Ryan says it doesn't help the Romney campaign to fuel speculation, so he's not commenting.
Ryan appeared at a news conference with Gov. Scott Walker in the Milwaukee suburb of Wauwatosa.
Walker says he'd like to see his fellow Republican as a vice presidential candidate. He says the fact that Ryan is even being considered shows how serious Romney is about solving problems.
But Democratic state Sen. Chris Larson says Romney and Ryan would give tax breaks to corporations that send jobs overseas, while raising taxes on the middle class.
