MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Home sales continue to recover in Wisconsin.
Data from the Wisconsin Realtors Association shows sales of existing homes increased about 17 percent in July, compared to the year before.

The median price of a home posted its fifth straight monthly increase.

Association president Rob Keefe says Wisconsin home sales have been outpacing the nation. Six-thousand-23 homes were sold in July with the help of a real estate agent, compared with 5,133 in July of last year.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says the median prices of homes sold increased about 2 percent from $140,000 a year ago to $143,000.
