This year Americans are expected to spend $18.6 billion on Valentine's Day gifts: $1.6 billion on candy; $1.9 billion on flowers; $4.4 billion on diamonds, gold and silver; $1.6 billion on clothing; and $1.5 billion of gift cards, according to the National Retail Federation.

However, there are deals out there. According to ValetinesDayFreebies.net, several restaurants are offering discounts and freebies until or on Valentine's Day.

Qdoba Mexican Grill is offering a unique promotion, kiss your sweetie at the counter and you'll receive one free entree with the purchase of another.

Denny’s will offer guests a free cup of their Diner Roast Coffee from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m on Valentine's Day.

Speaking of coffee, buy one featured drink (Vanilla Spice Latte, Caffe Mocha or Hot Chocolate) at Starbucks and you'll get a second free. You will need to print out the coupon, or show them the coupon on your phone. Click here.

Why not treat yourself? Through Valentine's Day, McDonald's will offer their new snack sized Fish McBites for $1.

And probably the most interesting offer is from Fazoli's. If you get engaged at the restaurant you'll both receive free spaghetti for a year.

And while it might seem a little later, there major online florists will offer discounts on Valentine's Day.
