NEW INFO: Former Manson Ins. President set for Trial in December

Updated: Tue 5:13 PM, Jul 24, 2012

The former president of Manson Insurance is scheduled to stand trial in December.

A spokesman for the federal court says 62-year-old Timothy Mathwich of Wausau stood mute in court Tuesday morning, so the judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Prosecutors say he forged insurance premium finance notes for customers who never requested them and sold the notes to River Valley Bank. The scheme cost the bank nearly $2 million.

Mathwich faces up to 30-years in prison if convicted. Two other former Manson employees have already been sentenced to prison for their role in the scheme.
