The former Tomahawk - Merrill Tavern League treasurer is free on a $2,500 signature bond after police say she embezzled more than $22,000 from the league.
Rhonda Wiese, 47, of Tomahawk is charged with theft in a business setting. She made an initial appearance in Lincoln County Court Thursday afternoon.
According to a criminal complaint, Wiese used tavern league money for personal use on several occasions between April of 2010 and January of 2012.
Her husband, Terry Wiese, was the league president at the time.
In a police report, Rhonda Wiese admitted to using the money, acknowledged it was wrong, and said she would pay it back
If convicted, she faces up to ten years in prison.
She'll have a scheduling conference on May 31st.
