The winning Powerball numbers for the drawing on 11/28/12 are: 5-16-22-23-29 and the Powerball is 6.
The Powerball grand prize is more than half a billion dollars and that has people running to get their hands on what they hope is the winning ticket.
The chance of drawing Wednesday night's winning Powerball ticket is one in 175 million, but that isn't stopping masses of people all across the country from taking that chance to win more than $550 million.
Employees at R-Store in Wausau have been busy all day, constantly running the lottery machine and printing out tickets.
Lottery officials say tickets are selling at a rate of 130,000 a minute nationwide.
"Everybody wants to win. I've seen a lot of new faces, I've seen a lot of people who have never played the lottery before buying tickets today," said Gina Nievinski, the store manager.
Sherri Apel hopes she can have the wedding of her dreams if she wins the big prize.
"This is my very first time playing the lottery so maybe first time's a charm, you never know," Apel said.
Angela Burger couldn't go home without stopping for a Powerball ticket, leaving her car's trunk full of groceries.
"When it gets to be this much money someone's gonna win it so I figure I have just as much chance as anyone else," she said.
Because so many people are buying tickets, the jackpot could climb even higher before Wednesday's drawing at 10 p.m.
There have been 16 consecutive drawings without a winner, but Powerball officials say they now think there's a 75 percent chance someone will hold the winning numbers this time.
Some experts say if one ticket hits the right numbers, chances are good that there will be other winners as well.
The current jackpot is actually the second-biggest in history, behind March's $656 million Mega Millions pot.
If nobody wins Wednesday, the grand prize will grow even more, possibly becoming the largest jackpot in history.
You have until 9 p.m. to buy your ticket.
