HAVE YOU EVER HAD NOISY NEIGHBORS? 2/11
I moved into a new apartment recently, which I really like. The only problem is my neighbors have been keeping me up night after night. They have the tendency to come home really late.. and then have, let's say, "very heated discussions." They are so loud, I can basically hear everything they're saying without even trying to listen, and there seems to be a lot of banging around to go with it. So, of course at first my main concern was to make sure nothing more than the "heated discussions" were going on.. and although it can't be healthy.. that seems to be the only thing going on. So.. I know i could easily call my Apartment Manager.. and so forth to make them stop.. but that's not the topic of my blog. I just want to find out who's had the worst neighbor (or the best, of course). So please let me know what you've had to deal with. I'm sure some of you have dealt with much worse :)
Hi Stephanie,
I live with my boyfriend Josh C. and his friend Sam B. we have a neighbor that lives underneath us and is noisy all the time i feel ur pain
Hi Stephanie!! I don't have noisy neighbors mine are nosey!! They told me everything about me, they tell me when my daughter leaves and comes home, one day my boyfriend had some errands to run after work so he didn't come home right away, the neighbor was waiting for him at the door wondering where he had been. They have accused me of having an affair (the man I was having "affair" with is his brother). Now, I find out that a relative of theres lives right behind me and that family watches us too!!! Thankfully, we are moving in 2 weeks and not telling them our new address.
We recently got new neighbors next door and already I am rather annoyed. Though it's not summer yet, they aren't loud partying people they just have FOUR dogs!!! Now we have three with a fence we put in last year so we like to let them be outside for more than 10 minutes, especially when it's been as nice as it has, however....whenever we let them out our neighbors dogs start going crazy barking which then makes mine bark at them. Soooo...I have to go yell at mine to be quiet, which they are pretty good about, while theirs continuiously bark!!!!!!! I never hear them out there telling them to shut up and they are outside allll the time! We live in the city so I feel like if they want their dogs to be outside dogs, then move to the country!!! Thanks for letting me vent! hehehe
A long time ago I lived in a floor apartment in a village next to a US Army base in Tong Du Chon So Korea. The roads off of the main drag were not much wider than hallways. A newllywed couple lived across the "road" and had their occassional young lovers' quarrel. When they did, she would throw dishware against the wall of the courtyard 12 feet from my bedroom window. He would counter by throwing larger, but still more breakable items such as lamps and electronics. Between the two of them they spoke three languages, but when they were mad they argued in their birth tongues. Needless to say neither could understand each other's words, but their intent must have been pretty clear. I should point out that they didn't throw things at each other, only at the same spot in the courtyard. On payday, I'd often see them coming back from the base PX with replacement items. I took a transfer to Seoul before they returned to the states so I never knew what became of them. I hope they worked things out!
While living in Madison some years ago, my wife and I had noisy neighbors who was from another country as well..My wife and I put up with noise from them night after night and some of the noise they made did wake up our child. So what we decided to do was this..We had a small party that began at the time our neighbors would began their noise, and we kept ours up longer then they did, finally they came down and ask us to stop making noise, which we informed them that we were only having the party because of their loud noise, after that we had no problem with them and we all had respect for each others at night..Frank
Hi Stephanie,
We moved to a somewhat unpopulated area a few years ago and were so happy to move into our new home. Within a week the frustration started. Every time we'd sit in our yard or walk outside, the neighbors dog would bark non-stop. We couldn't even open up our bedroom window at night to let in fresh air as the dog would bark most of the night too. This went on for two years. Finally, last spring, when the cycle started all over again, I stood in my yard and yelled at my neighbor at the top of my lungs about the non-stop barking. I'm able to enjoy my home much more now.
Yes, I too have a few of them. One of my neighbor always blasts his stereo up really loud during the day and I hate it. I understand that you want to listen to your music but I think you should know that your neighbors don't want to hear it either! Isn't it just plain common sense to not be so loud and more considerate of others? I've thought about calling the cops on them a few times but they are actually nice neighbors; just loud sometimes..sigh..oh well...
I just recently moved into an appartment building. My neighbors are always fighting! The worst is when I hear them yelling at thier 2 year old in a manner that I would never yell at another adult. Plus, when they leave, their dog barks non-stop... sometimes for hours on end! I have been living there for 3 1/2 months now, and just this morning left a note on their door. I hope we can resolve this between ourselves before I call the manager.
No comment, I love watching you. I have a question concerning a story awhile ago. It's about Dr. B. Sleight being charged with improper conduct with some of his patients. Whatever happened? What was the end result? I was a patient of his for years & there was never anything improper. Thank you.
I can't say that I have noisy neighbors, but what I do have are noisy ground bats, do you know how I can contain them. I purchased a book once about how to care and maintain your personal ground bat and I think I lost it. Boy would it ever come in handy now, seeing how my ground bat is out of freekin control. Sometimes it will just sit there eyeing me for awhile then out of now where it starts squirming around slowly and then gradually it becomes irate and starts trashing my pad around. Like this one time it picked up my sink and threw it at me. Totally out of now where I didn't see it coming, not to mention completely uncalled for. So I am hoping that possibly you would have an answer for me.
-Voltron!
Respond to Stephanie's blog here:
i can understand people getting mad at noise from neighbors, especially when its early morning or late at night. However, when its during the day and its going on outside with loud kids, or kids coming into your yard or whatever I think people need to be a little more laid back. I'm 21 years old so I can relate to the people who have their own place and don't like the noise from kids but I also was a teen and a kid not too long ago. They don't mean any harm by doing it or aren't trying to make noise to be a problem, they're just being kids and having fun and not thinking about being a problem. My neighbor kids like to play night games and kide and go seek and ball tag and all that stuff. Occassionally i'd see them wander into my yard after being chased or playing games. I have since let them know that they are welcome to use my yard for their games and its just fun watching them have a good time doing it. We all were kids and remember how much fun we used to have, don't get upset about these kids wanting to do the same thing. Before you know it they'll be adults too and have no choice but to be serious and be mature. i'm sure when everyone on here was little they didn't like the neighbors who complained all the time, don't turn into them unless its completely warranted and just let them be kids
Yes! I recently moved from my house of 8 years because my neighbor's house was like the neighborhood playground about 15 feet away from my house. I tried a privacy fence and talking with the parents on numerous occsasions with no results. They continued to host uncontrollable kids and there were times my house would bit hit by objects thrown by the kids. So now I moved to my new house a couple months ago and everything was great. Much larger yard, very quiet neighborhood. Except for one thing, the neighbor had to let their dog out. The dog barks the entire time it is outside!
I have lived in my apt for the last year and I dont know what it is but its something about apt number 3 underneath me. All three neighbors that have lived in there have been etremely noisy. The last neighbors had weight equipment that pounded the floor and shook the building literally. I think someone else complained and they got put out. but thats a breath of fresh air considering the guy across from them "allegedly" raped someone in his apt and no one heard a thing-so he was a quiet neighbor. I am the perfect neighbor, Im never home to make any noise. The current people who live underneath me like to come home after 3am and either walk around with 60lb boots or dig holes to china. The other day they were digging a hole to China at 2 in the afternoon. Why is there a reason to be LOUD at 2pm?! Its like "waiting for the other shoe to drop" only they are so loud they dont have to be the apt above you.
Anonymous (Alan if you need a name)
Hi Alan, I mean Anonymous :) thanks for blogging on. It sounds like you really have your hands full. And I agree sometimes it is hard to imagine what some people are doing at all hours of the day and night. But it sounds like you are a real quiet guy.. so the people who live near you should be lucky to have you as a neighbor. Good luck!
I grew up in the country so when I moved to an apartment it was hard to get used to the noise. I lived in several apartments and listened to the older couple who were hard of hearing and talked LOUD, the mom who worked an odd shift would pick up her baby at 1:00 in the morning from the sitter and then would be wide awake during the night. But the worst was a couple above me who got into very heated discussions, but also heard a lot of banging around. One night I heard yelling, banging, crying and her walking out. I almost called the police but didn't. This went on for a while until she left him for good. Found out he was beating her and had holes punched in the walls and broken furniture....So if you think anything serious is going on I would call the police, to this day I wish I had.
Thanks for the advice. Fortunately my neighbors have been pretty quiet recently.. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with this blog or not :)
It sounds like you have definitely had your share of interesting neighbors.. and I totally understand how hard it is to get used to the noise after living in the country. I grew up in the country too.. and the only noises I heard at night were those of wild animals out in the woods. But I learned real fast how different it is to live in the city.. my first apartment was right next to railroad tracks! Thanks for blogging on!
yup..I have lived in my home for many years. One of my current neighbors has 4 teen/preteen kids who are loud, rude and obnoxious. She does nothing to maintain her property unless I call and complain. That lasts about a week or so. Very frustrating. Guess that is where good fences make good neighbors comes from
I can see how your situation would become frustrating real fast. I can just picture that many teens and kids in one home.. I mean, I would like to think that I was a good kid, but I also know that I can be pretty loud too :) It's a shame that you are forced to call and complain about something that you shouldn't even have to worry about. I guess you're right.. a fence may unfortunately be your best bet for now until the kids next door get a little older. Hope things get better.
We live out in the sticks and we still have annoying neighbors...with hound dogs that bark at anything and everything and all night long too. When you have the windows open you can hear it all summer long, cant say that you ever get used to that.
The reason people live out of town is to have peace and quiet, so it must be real frustrating for you to not have that. And it is true.. a barking dog for some reason just seems to be one of those sounds that you just can't get used to. The sound of traffic no longer bothers me, or people talking outside, but there is a dog at one of the homes near my apartment that goes on barking streaks too... and I know how bad that can be. And it always seems to happen right when I'm about to go to bed. Let's just hope that not too many things disturb the hound dogs this summer.. so you can sleep soundly with the windows wide open and the crickets chirping :)
You can always call the police and report a domestic disturbance. Unless you are the only neighbor, they won't know who called.
Thanks for blogging on. Yes, fortunately I live in a pretty big apartment complex, so if I were to call the police I don't think my neighbors would have any idea that I was the one who made the call. So, I will definitely take your advice if things get out of control!
I've been in my home for 10 years. In that time, I had first... the drug dealers. I live on a street that's only a block long, so it's pretty obvious when people are stopping for "just a minute" at all hours of the day and night. Then I had the "nosy neighbor" she didn't make much noise, but she told my boyfriend about everyone that came into my house. Then there were the drinking and fighting neighbors. I thought it was their kids squealing out of the driveway at all hours, but apparently the couple would fight, then one or another or both of them would get into their respective vehicles and squeal out of the driveway. UGHHHHHHH!
I've got new neighbors now. I'm crossing my fingers that I don't have to deal with many disturbances. Cross your fingers for me.
I'm definitely crossing my fingers for you :) Let's hope your new neighbors are great, and you can put all of the others behind you. It sounds like you have also had quite a laundry list of "uncooperative" neighbors. I guess, even though I know it would be annoying, I'd deal with having a nosy neighbor before dealing with the others neighbors you've had. I can't stand to hear people fighting and being upset.. it makes me a nervous wreck, so I know how you probably felt. And the neighbors you say were "drug dealers" would make me even more nervous. While I try not to be nosy either, I still like to have somewhat of an idea of what is going on near me. So the suspicious dropping by for few minutes here and there would definitely worry me. So again, fingers crossed that you won't have to deal with any of that again!
After being a dairy farmer for 45 yrs we moved into a village. Have a corner lot so lots of sidewalk. After a big snow we heard a snowblower and the man down the street, about 15 yr older than us was blowing out our whole sidewalk!!
When we thanked him he said since is part of sidewalk is so little and he had it running, he'd just keep going. Happy we chose this village to retire to. Will have to find a way to thank him.
Wow.. it is so great to hear stories like that. What a nice man. I'm sure you being grateful was enough.. but I agree that when someone goes above and beyond to help out others.. they should definitely be rewarded. Maybe you could return the favor sometime.. or surprise him with some goodies or something some day. But no matter what you do, I'm sure he'll be thankful. It's so easy to get caught up in all the bad stories... so I'm so happy that you shared this one. Some people are just so remarkable.. and it's wonderful that you get to live by one of them. And the fact that you shared the story with all of us.. makes me think that your neighbors are pretty lucky too. :)
I, too, live in a very nice apartment complex. BUT I have a family living above me that are not the most quiet people. They have a little child who runs and runs and runs all day and night. I never see them take him out to play (work off his little kid energy). It is not his fault, he is just a kid that needs play time. But at all hours... it gets a bit frustrating. I have named him "Boom-Boom".
I have thought about calling the apartment manager to complain, but what can he really do. And we like the neighbors (for the most part) and do not want them to hate us.
It is a stressful thing to have a loud neighbor. You find yourself feeling like you are going insane at times. And being loud back does absolutely nothing. I have learned to block most of it out, but it is still not so fun at times. Good luck with your loud neighbors and know that, unfortunately, you are not the only one with the loud neighbors. :-)
Thanks for blogging on... and it's so sad that I'm not the only one who has to deal with loud neighbors :) It sounds like things can get pretty loud at your place sometimes, but it also sounds like you have a pretty good attitude about it. While it would get hard to listen to a child running around and around above you, I'm glad that you understand that he's just a kid.. and it shouldn't reflect bad on him or your neighbors. So, hopefully the child will get a little less "energetic" as time goes on, and keep that positive attitude!
I have had a few bad ones like the ones you have now but for the past 3 years I have had one of the best. She is an olde lady and as such I do the lawn care and shoveling but she never complains if I have friends over late and some days after a long day at work and shoveling out the driveway I find a plate of some sort of desert sitting by my door.
Your limo driver, Jon.K
Hello "limo driver" Jon! It's so good to hear from you ;) It sounds like your neighbor is great.. can I trade? Just kidding. It also sounds like you're a pretty nice gentleman (which I would have to agree with) who helps her out with a lot, so she probably lets you slide a little if you want to have some fun. That sounds like a pretty neat neighbor-neighbor relationship if you ask me. That's a nice change to hear. And if you ever have trouble getting rid of any of those desserts let me know :)
hi, your very pretty are u married? any kids?
MY BROTHER GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE AND GOT ENGAGED ON THE SAME DAY! 1/8

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone had a great holiday season.. and I apologize for not blogging on for a while. Around the holidays things get pretty hectic at home ( as you know) and here at work. Many of my co-workers are not from Wausau like I am so they take time off during the holidays to spend some much well-deserved time with their families. So, the newsroom was shorter-staffed than usual.. so I just didn't get a chance. But now things are back to normal.. and my normal blogging is too!
Since I last blogged, quite a bit has happened besides the usual craziness of Christmas. My younger brother, Brandon, graduated from UW-Stevens Point on December 15th.. which is great. On his big graduation day our family went to dinner with his girlfriend, Katie's, family. At the end of dinner.. guess what.. he popped the question.. and now my little bro is engaged. Wow! My older brother Jeremy and I always assumed our little brother would be the first to get married.. .and we were right! Congratulations Brandon! It was quite funny.. because my older brother and I were sitting toward the end of the table when this was all happening.. and just kept saying to each other.. "you're next"... "no, you're next!." You can probably get the picture. Anyway.. they're looking at possibly getting married in the summer of '09.. and they are busily preparing for the big day already. Congrats again Brandon and Katie, I wish you the best! If anyone has any wedding tips.. I would be more than happy to pass them on to the happy couple.. let me know!

CHRISTMAS IS CREEPING UP FAST! 12/11
I cannot believe that Christmas is two weeks from today! I have very little of my shopping done.. and I'm not quite sure when I'll be able to squeeze it in. I spend so much time trying to make sure that I get the "perfect" present for the people in my life. I'm not sure why I stress myself out so much though.. because I know my family and friends aren't concerned with what I get them. And it seems like every year I spend so much time focusing on the days leading up to Christmas.. and then after a few minutes on Christmas Eve it's all over! But I have to admit, when it comes down to it.. I do enjoy shopping for the great gifts, and then spending way too much time wrapping them up with bows and ribbons and whatever else I can find. :)
I went around the newsroom to find out what presents are memorable in the minds' of some our reporters, anchors, and photographers.. and here's what I found:
- Mikel Lauber's favorite gift was his Sega Genesis...
- Jonalee's favorite.. a trip to Honduras. (pretty cool, huh?)
- Our photographer Jason says he never expected to get a Nintendo
64.. but one year he did! But he says his Ghostbuster House was
pretty cool too.
- Margo's also gotten some pretty cool gifts for Christmas.. including a laptop and a microwave.
Alison Struve and Bill Martens are still thinking about it.. and so am I! So, I'll keep you posted.. but while we're thinking about it you should too, and let me know! They can be either your favorite gifts.. or not so favorite gifts.
Happy Holidays!

GETTING READY FOR THE WINTER ROADS 11/13
Well as the temperatures continue to drop and the forecast more commonly includes flakes of snow.. my heart starts to race thinking about driving on the winter roads. I don't know about you, but although I've lived in Wisconsin all my life.. I still get extremely nervous confronting freezing rain, black ice and white-outs. Sure, it probably sounds like I'm a chicken.. but at least I can admit it :) Fortunately I've had some good training, because the majority of my life I have lived out of town and worked at night.. so I've become accustomed to driving on roads that if you didn't know better.. you would have no idea are there. In fact.. I've even moved closer to work so I wouldn't have to drive as far to get here in the winter.. I know, pretty silly right. I think I'm still in shock from last winter when I lived in Milwaukee.. nothing like driving in a traffic jam on a major highway in downtown Milwaukee in the middle of an ice storm... I don't think I got the feeling back in my legs for weeks! At least I know our local snowplow drivers are out there working hard during our harsh winters.. which definitely makes me feel a lot better about hopping in my car during a snowstorm. In fact.. if I didn't see the flashing lights of a snowplow go by my window on a snowy, winter day, I probably wouldn't leave the house! I also finally pulled my old car out of the spot it's been resting in since spring to get it prepared for the possible rough winter ahead. My dad is a pro at working on cars in his spare time.. so thanks to him I have new brakes, new tires, and all the fixings.. so I should be ready to go.. and can park my current car for the winter. Thanks Dad! So, what about you? Does anyone share my fears about winter driving (please tell me you do)? Or do you have any exciting stories about driving in the winter? Let me know!

how long have you been at channel 7 cory
Hi Cory, I've been at the station for about a year now.
S
I understand how you feel completely. I drive cautiously in snow and ice and just plain bad weather, but the other people out there who tailgate and just dont slow down scare me to death. I wish people would learn one thing, snow=slow, you never know when a patch of black ice is going to pop up or another car throws snow in your lane causing a white out. Lisa
Hi Lisa... I agree!
There are so many times when I know I can handle myself on the road.. and I am more concerned with the people around me. I can't count how many times I have almost been in an accident because of other peoples' driving. I have had to learn to just keep my eyes on the road.. drive at a speed at which I feel comfortable ( which in the snow is very slow) and not be concerned with what others are doing.. because if I didn't I would be more of a nervous wreck than I already am :)
I appreciate you blogging on and sharing your tips with us.. they are definitely good ones! Drive Safe :)
Didn't some weather dood always give you the forecast when you were going back and forth between Milwaukee and Wausau? Hmmm, I remember many times giving the forecast....
Your "mostest favoritist morning" weather dood! :)
Hmmmm... I do believe some weather dood did give me the forecast when I was going back and forth between Wausau and Milwaukee.. which made me feel a lot better about making the drive. Thanks! :)
Personally i havent gone trick or treating in the past 3 years but after reading your blog i have noticed how much fun i may actually have.By the way it does seem that no matter the age of one person they still enjoy it just like others. This really inspired me to give holloween another shot and let loose next year and a advantage to that i get to hang out with some friends in the process.
Great! I'm glad you're going to give Halloween another try.. and you're right it doesn't matter what your age is, you can have fun. And yeah.. nothing beats spending time with your friends, who can be whoever they want to be... for that one night, at least :)
HALLOWEEN IS OVER.. CHRISTMAS IS HERE! 11/1
Hello again. Well, it's November 1st.. which, if you walk through any store, means that the Holiday season is here. But before we get to that.. I want to touch on this past Halloween. I got to see so many great costumes this year (most of them were worn by my crazy friends :) ). Here's just a few that they picked this year... A gorilla.. "Beer Men," a Tribal Man, Pirates, and even a made-up super hero. I am always amazed by the creativity that some people have when it comes to Halloween costumes ( I wore a Halloween T-shirt.. ooh :) ). And I always wonder how far in advance people plan their costumes. I know every year that I hear people saying they have to rush to the store to buy something last minute.. but then there are others that show up in things that I think must have taken months to make. How long have you taken to make a Halloween costume? And what was the neatest one you've worn? Just wondering.
Okay.. as much fun as it is.. Halloween is over.. and that means next is Christmas.. oh wait. Have you noticed that it seems that Thanksgiving seems to be becoming overlooked more and more every year.. and the Christmas season comes sooner and sooner? I went to the store on Halloween to get some last minute candy... walked back to the Halloween department... and there were only a few left-over unwanted items hanging from the shelves. The rest of the room on the shelves was taken up by Christmas Decorations. Whoa! I had to do a double-take at the calendar and make sure I didn't miss something. I was just wondering.. where did the Turkeys go? I love Christmas as much as the next person.. in fact, it's my favorite time of year.. but nothing beats sitting down for a big turkey dinner with family and friends on Thanksgiving. Not sure if any of you have noticed this too.. but I think it's getting harder and harder to find items that say "Gobble, gobble." Anyway.. I guess the early placement of Christmas items on the store shelves is my motivation to start my Christmas shopping. I haven't bought a thing.. but I know some people that have everything done already! Talk about being on top of things. I am one of the people that enjoys throwing on my hat, scarf and mittens on a cold, snowy day and going Christmas shopping.. so that's my excuse.. I like to stretch my shopping season out as long as possible! :) What about you?
Respond to Stephanie's blog here:
Hi Stephanie,
I love shopping. I can shop the whole day and I don't get tired. I have made my own halloween costum before. Next year for halloween you should dress up when you do the news. I support this station and only watch this station for news. Have a great day and stay warm,
kate s. Plover,wis
Hi Kate.. and thank you for joining my blog! Glad to hear there's another super shopper out there. Thanks for watching our station.. and you stay warm too.
Hello All! I’m very excited that our wonderful Webmaster Bill Martens has set me up with a blog. If you’ve had the chance to read my bio on our webchannel you probably already have a pretty good idea of my broadcasting and professional past, but I’m going to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about me.
I was born and raised in Wausau, and besides spending about 6 months in Milwaukee, I’ve lived here all of my life. I went to Hewitt-Texas Elementary School (go Hornets), then I went on to John Muir Middle School for 7th grade (however there were so many students that year that I got to spend one trimester at Wausau East—pretty exciting experience for a little 7th grader), and then I was part of the first 8th grade class to attend the brand new Horace Mann Middle School. Later I attended Wausau East (the “old” East where apartments now stand and some of my friends live). I stuck pretty close to home for college too.. I went to UW-Marathon County to get my Associate’s degree, and UW-Stevens Point for my Bachelor’s. Some of you may know that I’ve worked in television for a while now. I started out in the broadcasting field in 1998, and worked my way up through the TV ranks.. from production, to producing, to reporting, and now anchoring.
I truly enjoy my current position here at the station. I co-produce the 5 o’clock show with Alison Struve, help Jeff Thelen finish up producing the 6, and then Jeff and I co-produce and anchor the 10. It definitely keeps me on my toes.. and the days seem to fly by (especially if there’s breaking news!). I love being able to be on top of everything that is going on in my hometown and the stories that affect my friends and family. Wausau is truly a great town, and I will continue to do my best to keep you informed of everything that is going on, and bring you the most accurate, up to date information as possible.
Well, enough about me.. I want to hear from you. Please let me know if you have any ideas for stories you’d like to hear about, or let me know what you enjoy the most about living here in Northcentral Wisconsin. Hope to hear from you soon!

Steffy Baby,
You know your hair is great and I love it! It looked great at the Packers/Bears game a few weeks ago too!
- your morning weather dood.
Hello Morning weather dood...
Thanks... I can always count on you to support me no matter what I do :) And I can count on you to be a good cheerleader next to me at the Packers games. :) That was tons of fun.. this weekend will be too.
Hey Stephanie, I am bald so I think your hair is great--Jacktastic
Why thank you Jacktastic! I have a feeling that your bald head looks stunning! :) Hope to see you soon!
Hi Stephanie.Just read the blog about your hair. I think it looks very nice. Not everyone could wear their hair like that but looks neat on you.Enjoy you and Jeff on 10:00 news
Aw, Thanks for the nice comments! That means a lot to me. I'm glad you enjoy Jeff and me at 10.. keep watching and blog in anytime!
You are a very good anchor. Can't stand your hair sticking out in the back night after night tho. Apparently your hair is dark in back, but the blond hair in back on top looks like its sticking straight out.
Watch a tape, every time you turn your head to look a Jeff it sticks out. Please fix, you're too good to look so unkept.
Thanks for joining the blog, and thanks for your opinion. I appreciate your kind comments about my anchoring, and for taking the time to give your opinion about my hair. Typically if my hair is a "no-no" my Hairstylists are not afraid to tell me, and are definitely the first to tell me (believe me, this weekend I wore a big headband and apparently it was a no-no because one of them saw me wearing it and wasn't very happy.. I believe the term used was "yuck" :) ) .. but they haven't said anything is wrong with my on-air hair. But, I'll give them a call and have them take a look... since I pay them to make me look good :). Thanks again for taking the time to blog on, and for your opinion.. I appreciate it.
S.L.Hey since you've been anchoring on Chennel 7 I have to say about you is that I LOVE the way you just crack-up laughing on TV because I see that there's never a day when your on that either Jeff,Mike B. or Jocko Mike.J. says something funny that gets you cracking up laughing which leads me to believe you have a good sense of humor in you Stephie,LOL.
Thanks for your comments. You're right.. there are so many nights when I just crack up because of my co-anchors. They are such a great group of guys, and they are SO funny. I couldn't ask for better people to work with, and I'm glad that shows through on camera. Thanks for watching, and I'll keep laughing :)
Glad you have your own blog now girl! Anyone bought you flowers lately?
:)
I'm so happy to have you onboard here girl... your 9 year long friend and morning weather dood...
:)
Hmmm... who could this be ? Morning weather dude, friends for 9 years.. perhaps Mr. Franzen :) I'm happy our master of the web Bill set me up with a blog too! Oh, and the flowers on my desk are pretty dried up.. but I just don't have the heart to throw them away (kind of like the birthday balloons I've had at my desk since June) :)
Welcome to the realm of blogging! I enjoy reading these blogs and really am glad to see more 'faces' having them. I have to say when I and the family first see a new face on the news we're practically making bets on how long they'll last. We get that stubborn anti-change thing going 'Oh no, a new face and name to learn.' But you're alright! Was happy to finally have someone from Wausau be on the air, especially one who can pronounce most of the city names correctly! Hope you stick around a long time. Actually, I'm betting on it!
Thanks for watching, and blogging. I'm very happy to be working in my hometown, so I am familiar with the area, names of cities, etc. I'm glad to hear you hope I stick around for a while.. because I hope so too. I think that's a pretty good bet!
Stephanie, I didn't know you were an Irish boy.
Ha!
hey steph i think ur the best news laddy ever!!!
Thank you for the nice compliment.. keep watching! :)
