As a part of my 10 weeks as a member of the Rothschild Citizens Police Academy I had the chance to ride along with an Officer on overnight patrol, and watch on as the traffic stops unfolded. One thing was for sure, it turned out to be a busy night—one that ended at the Marathon County Jail.

The men and women of law enforcement have to prepare for a lot before they get behind the wheel, and have to go through special training to get their badge. That’s why I went “Behind the Badge” to see and actually experience just what that training is like during my 10 weeks as a member of the Rothschild Citizens Police Academy, as I took on the Emergency Vehicle Operation Course.

I got to see how, when I was put through firearms training, as part of my 10 weeks in the Rothschild Citizens Police Academy.

I wrap up our “Behind the Badge” series, with graduation night. During my 10 weeks as a member of the Rothschild Citizens Police Academy, I learned a lot, met a lot of great people, and had a lot of fun along the way. After completing my required classes, I get to graduate, and find out what everyone really thought about having me in class.

For the past 10 weeks, hours and hours of video were taken for use within the Beyond the Badge series. Most of the time, this video has a chance to make it on air: either on television and/or on our webchannel.
Sometimes, well, things don't go as planned, and this video is rarely seen, until now.
