We're just 18 days away from the Susan G. Komen race for the cure in Wausau.

An organizer says more than 700 people are signed up for the race. The event is meant to raise breast cancer awareness.

Lieutenant Ben Bliven with the Wausau Police Department knows how hard it is to battle the disease. He’s walking for his cousin who has breast cancer. "I think it’s really important for everybody because everybody knows somebody impacted by breast cancer" said Bliven.
