The mother convicted of second degree reckless homicide in the death of her 11-year-old daughter Kara is due in court Wednesday, January 13.

According to online court records, Leilani Neumann will go before a Marathon County judge to determine whether or not she qualifies for a court-appointed attorney in an indigency hearing.

Her current attorney is Gene Linehan.

Online court records also say Leilani still owes the court more than $14,000.
