The second Never Forgotten Honor Flight from Northcentral Wisconsin is set for this fall. It takes veterans to Washington, D.C. free of charge.
The first was earlier this week.
While the first group of vets from Northcentral Wisconsin was there, they ran into a group of students on a class trip from Idaho.
That turned into a spontaneous, heartfelt moment many of the vets call the highlight of the trip. The students formed a line and as members of the Greatest Generation walked through, the young generation clapped for them, shook their hands, hugged them and said thank you for your service to keep our country free.
