The public is invited to sign up for the Merrill Community Weight Race beginning Tuesday evening with a weigh-in and informational program at Riverside Athletic Club in Merrill.

The Merrill Community Weight Race is a competition that challenges individuals and groups of participants to lose weight and create a healthier lifestyle. Participation is free and all participants will receive a t-shirt, Community Weight Race Calendar, Riverside Athletic Club Punch Card and will be eligible for numerous prize drawings. A bi-monthly newsletter for participants will provide additional support and weight loss tips.

The only requirement of the competition is to attend a monthly educational program and weigh in to learn the most current information on weight loss success.

Team weigh-ins will be conducted from 5:30-6:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Feb. 5.
