Some Iowa Vending Machines Color Coding Highlights "Junk" Foods

The Governor of Iowa is taking aggressive steps toward his goal to create the healthiest state in the nation within the next five years.

According to an Iowa newspaper, vending machines in 13 state government office buildings will have labels on food to direct consumers of nutrition. Green dots represent healthier items, yellow isn’t quite as good and red is a warning that eating too many of such foods can make a person unhealthy.
