Sleepover Advice for Kids Coping With Type 1 Diabetes


Going to a sleepover is one of those quintessential childhood events. Parents may approach this milestone with some anxiety, but if you have a child with a medical condition, such as type 1 diabetes, it can be especially worrisome.

So what's a parent to do?

Sunrise 7's Sean Caldwell spoke with Scott Benner, an award-winning author and stay-at-home dad of a daughter with type 1 diabetes, and Amy Hess-Fischl, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator for their advice.
