Senator to Express Concerns over Wind Turbines, Wednesday

On Wednesday, Senator Frank Lasee who represents the 1st Senate District, plans to go to the Public Service Commission to express his concerns over wind turbines.

According to WFRV-TV, a Brown County family says living across from a turbines has caused health issues so severe they've had to move. Sarah Cappelle tells the station she was having ear pain, headaches, insomnia, and her body was quivering all the time. Lasee says they're not alone, and will bring more than a thousand pages of what he says is proof the turbines are causing harm.

Sen. Lasee tried to pass legislation last year to put tougher restrictions on where turbines could be built. It failed, 17-16. Current regulation allows them to be built 1250 feet from a home.

The PSC has determined there was not enough evidence to prove that wind turbines can cause health problems.
