The American Red Cross North Central Chapter is reconginizing acts of courage and kindness from "real" people in our communities. On Thursday, March 7th the Red Cross named their "Real Hero Award" winners for Lincoln, Marathon, and Portage Counties.

They include:

Heathcare Award Hero: David Keefe, Brian Mach, Pat Peckham, and Dr. Fernado Riveron

Youth Hero: Peyton Medick and Kolten Craft

Community Hero: Barb Jacob

Good Samaritan Hero: Greg Congdon

Law Enforcement Hero: Lt. Mark Wagers and Officer Jacob Albee

Corporate Hero: RMM Solutions

American Red Cross Hero: Fred Strasser, Gary Vroman, and Terrill Menzel
