(Press Release) Ministry Medical Group will host an informational meeting on Bariatric Surgery at Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston, on Wednesday, September 5, from 6 – 7:30 p.m.

This informational session will review Ministry Health Care’s comprehensive bariatric surgery program led by Calvin Selwyn, Jr., M.D., who performs bariatric weight loss surgeries at Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point.

Fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Selwyn and his bariatric team will

outline the program; discuss the types of weight loss surgery including laparoscopic adjustable gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass. Time will be also available for questions.

Dr. Selwyn holds clinic hours in Weston on the 3rd Thursday of each month to provide better access to pre and post-operative clinic appointments for those interested in weight loss surgery.

This informational meeting will be held in the Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital Conference Center. Participants are encouraged to use Parking lot and entrance #3 on the campus of the Weston Regional Medical Center.
