July 5 Marks 2-Year Anniversary of State Smoking Ban

July 5 marks the two year anniversary since Wisconsin enacted a statewide smoking. The ban prohibited smoking in places including veterans homes, bars and restaurants and even Lambeau Field.

To keep patrons and law enforcement happy, many business owners added on beer gardens or designated areas where people could light up.

Wisconsin is the 28th state to enact a comprehensive smoking ban. Supporters of the ban say it will lead to more people quitting.
