It's Monday and time to focus on your health. Almost all of us have heard about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It can happen when you go through some sort of traumatic event.
As I was doing research on PTSD, I found some staggering statistics from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. About 60% of men and 50% of women will experience at least one traumatic event. Of those who do, about 8% of men and 20% of women will develop PTSD.
To learn more about the disorder, I interviewed former Marine Shane Kruchten. He suffered from PTSD for many years. It left him unable to work and eventually homeless, but he was able to get his life back on track. He's helping the Wounded Warrior Project and Brawny Towels launch a campaign called "Inner Strength."
Brawny is donating $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project for every thank you message posted on their Facebook “Wall of Thanks” and for every “like” on their Facebook page up to $250,000.
