In less than a month hundreds of people will lace up their shoes in Wausau to outpace breast cancer and they'll be led by a three time Olympic athlete.

Olympian Suzy Favor Hamilton has a long list of accomplishments including seven national championships.

She will again set the pace at the 2011 Central Wisconsin Susan G. Komen race for the cure.

Hamilton says, “I lost a dear friend of mine to cancer five years ago. She was a runner in Minocqua. Just a fabulous person and this race is a way for me to honor her and celebrate her fabulous life."

More than 4,000 people are expected to race this time around. The event is set for Sunday, August 21st.
