Fewer People Smoking, More Tobacco Products Geared Toward Youth

Fewer people are smoking, so tobacco companies are getting creative to entice new customers.

Tobacco and nicotine are coming in all kinds of forms, besides cigarettes.

A new product contains tobacco strips, that are placed on your tongue and dissolve. One strip is equivalent to smoking a cigarette.

Another product looks like a mint, but has the nicotine of a full cigarette.

"You just put it in your mouth, it completely dissolves and no one is the wiser that you have been smoking because you don't have the cloud of smoke and you don't have to spit it out," Dot Kalmon, the coordinator of the Central Wisconsin Tobacco Free Coalition.

She says many tobacco products also come in a variety of enticing flavors, like chocolate, sour apple and peach.

Despite their resemblance to candy, these products are dangerous to one's health.

Smoking costs the state $4.5 billion in health care costs.
