Allergies Becoming a Problem with Highest Mold Counts in 17 Years

Updated: Wed 10:54 PM, Aug 01, 2012

Hot weather and humidity have created a breeding ground for mold spores. Wisconsin mold counts are at their highest levels in at least 17 years.

With the mix of rain and hot humid weather, the right conditions are bringing out allergens. Allergy sufferers are feeling the impact and it seems to be worse than normal. No need to wait, try and see a doctor immediately.

Dr. Edmondson, a Allergy Physician with ENT. said, “Mold can trigger asthma, mold counts are right now so those symptoms can be hard to control with over the counter medications. Seeing a specialist or a doctor is the key.”

The mild winter not only triggered the growing season early but started the pollen season along with it. The ragweed season is just around the corner. Stay in tune with you reactions outdoors and see a doctor is the problems persist.
