Packers Going Pink This Sunday

Updated: Sat 11:07 PM, Oct 02, 2010

Some of your favorite Green Bay Packers players will be wearing another color besides green and gold Sunday.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month they’ll be sporting pink.

The team will wear their pink on the football field against the Detroit Lions to show their support for fighting the disease.

Pink elements are also being worked in around the stadium. There’s pink goal post padding, pink caps for game officials and even a pink coin for the coin toss. But that’s not all.

"Pink cleats, decals on their helmets. There's a special game ball that'll be pink, pink whistles for the officials, pink ribbons, so there's going to be a lot of pink on Sunday,” said Kandi Goltz, manager of Packers Game & Fan Development.

Fans will also get pink rally towels when they enter the stadium before the game.
