Wis. DVA to Host 3 Veterans Day Ceremonies

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin veterans officials plan are planning a trio of Veterans Day ceremonies around the state.

The first Department of Veterans Affairs ceremony is set for Sunday morning at the agency's veterans home in Union Grove. The itinerary calls for remarks from DVA Secretary John Scocos and World War II veteran Wally Stenavich.

DVA also will put on a ceremony at the agency's veterans home in King on Sunday afternoon. Speakers will include Commandant Mary Hansen and Wisconsin Veterans Museum Director Michael Telzrow.

Also on tap for Sunday afternoon is a ceremony at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery just south of Spooner. Cemetery Director Matthew Bergs and state Rep. Nick Milroy, a Democrat from South Range, are scheduled to speak.
