One of Wausau's newest traditions is returning this weekend bringing with it dozen of free activities for families.
WinterFest is Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10 am to 4 pm. The events take place in various locations centered around th 400 Block and include:
•Ice Skating - The 400 Block (FREE rentals courtesy of Shepherd & Schaller)
•NEW FOR 2013! Gingerbread House Contest - The Great Hall (organized by Sweet Lola's)
•NEW FOR 2013! Silly Hat Parade - The 400 Block
•Ice Sculptures - The 400 Block
•Horse drawn wagon rides - throughout downtown Wausau
•Craft Projects - Center for Visual Arts, Marathon County Historical Society
•Live Music by The Drovers - The Great Hall (next to the Grand Theater) and Lightbourne & Hill (Washington Square)
•Cookie Decorating - First American Center
•Hot Chocolate Stations - various downtown locations
•Cupcake decorating - St. Paul's UCC Community Center
•Snow Sculpture by Team USA- The 400 Block
•Chili Contest - The Great Hall (Next to the Grand Theater)
