The Marathon County Public Library in Wausau will kick off Teen Tech Week with a high tech scavenger hunt on Sunday.
The event is free and open to Marathon County teens who are in grades six through 12. Registration required; call 715-261-7230.
Teens are encouraged to bring a smart phone or other QR code-reading device, such as a tablet computer, but the library will have some iPads and Android tablets available for teens who do not have a device for reading QR codes. The event tests knowledge of technology, science-fiction literature and pop culture including "Star Trek" by following clues embedded in QR codes scattered throughout the library.
The scavenger hunt is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 10 at the library, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
