John Cariani's "Almost, Maine" only premiered a decade ago but it's quickly become one of the most produced plays in America, topping even "A Mid-Summer Night's Dream." Now, theater-goers in Northcentral Wisconsin can see the tales of nine distinct couples from the remotest part of Maine in new production this weekend from Wausau West Drama.
Sunrise 7's Sean Caldwell spoke with cast members Maria Bunczak and D.J. Yang as well as student director Sarah Beck for their interpretation of the show..
"Almost, Maine" opens Thursday with evening performances through Saturday at 7 p.m. at Wausau West as well as a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the door at a cost $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors. Wausau West students get in free with their ID.
