Last Minute Christmas Shopping
Catching Up With Last Minute Shoppers
As of last week, the average shopper only had half of his or her shopping complete. But with Thursday's big snow storm, many had to wait up until the very last minute to finish buying presents for family and friends.
"I went shopping yesterday, I went shopping this morning," said Wausau shopper TJ Roovers. "I kind of go to the stores when I know people won't be there, early in the morning. Late in the afternoon it gets a little nuts."
Sisters Courtney and Kirstin Falk are shopping Sunday for their parents, now that they have a break from school.
"I personally have not had time to shop with finals and everything," Courtney Falk said. "I want to get them something nice. I want to get something really good for [Mom and Dad]."
According to the National Retail Federation, the number one item purchased so far this holiday season is clothing/clothing accessories.
