Waupaca Police Searching for Hit-and-Run Suspect

The Waupaca Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a suspect in a hit-and-run crash.

According to a news release, around 6:50 pm on Monday, Police were called to a crash on County Highway A at Highway 10.

Witnesses say a pick-up truck failed to stop a stop sign from the off-ramp and collided with a vehicle.

The driver the truck fled on foot. The driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries, but was transported to the hospital.

The suspect's vehicle, is a 1996 Dodge Ram. The truck was purchased through an auction house and is not currently registered, so the driver is unknown.

It was further reported to police that the suspect was in the process of moving the personal belongings of a woman from Menasha to Stevens Point. However, the woman said she did not know the name of the driver.
