Veteran Resource Center Could Soon be Coming to Stevens Point

Portage County and Stevens Point are working together to develop a Veteran Resource Center.

They're not sure yet if it will be an actual brick-and-mortar facility or if it will exist strictly online, but they do know the need is out there and they're trying to help fill it.

In order to do that, they need your help. They're asking you to fill out the online survey, letting them know what you think is important when it comes to veterans affairs. You can also fill out a hard copy at many local businesses. That survey needs to be completed by January 31st.

While the resource center may be a ways off, volunteers are needed immediately. They are looking for help driving veterans to and from their appointments. A car and gas will be provided, so all you would be volunteering is your time. If you're interested in helping, you can call Jeff Jester at 715-346-1401.
