Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash that critically injured a 24-year-old Tomahawk man.

According to the incident report, a passerby called 911around 7 am Saturday to report a vehicle in the ditch on State Road 86 near West Kraft Road southwest of Tomahawk.

Investigators believe Dustyn Duplayee was traveling west on State Road 86 when he left the roadway, struck a culvert and went airborne. Duplayee was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated.

Duplayee was taken to a Tomahawk hospital, and was later airlifted to a Wausau hospital.
