If you're not on the road already, chances are many of you will be soon to start your independence day weekend.
In fact, this holiday weekend is one of the busiest times to travel.
AAA says that more than 40 million Americans are expected to travel this weekend, with the largest number expected to take to the road today.
One traveler who stopped to gas up in Wausau on her way from Neenah to Minnesota says that so far traffic has been pretty good overall. However while traveling through Central Wisconsin hasn't been too bad, bigger cites could be another story.
"The Twin Cities are going to be where I really slow down, so I am trying to get going kinda quick before getting to Minneapolis." said travelers Peg DiPolo as she filled up her car today.
Road construction projects throughout the state are being suspended this weekend to help ease congestion.
